Fiber optic components require performance and reliability testing in accordance with numerous Telcordia and other standards. MET also has extensive lab capabilities dedicated to SONET testing.

MET utilizes fully automated test systems for long-term reliability testing of optical fiber components under environmental and mechanical stress conditions. These systems can perform in-situ monitoring of many optical parameters of over 200 channels simultaneously. In addition to testing, MET offers compliance consulting and test plan development.

MET Laboratories is fully capable of testing to Fiber Optic design standards such as GR-253-CORE for SONET equipment as well as its equivalent international standards for SDH equipment.
